FAQ
Q: Is your product really Organic?
A: Yes, our baby products are really, truly organic. All of our purchased designer fabric is certified organic fabric; GOTS (Global Organic Textile
Standard). The fabric we design in-house is also GOTS certified cotton fabric printed using water-based, safe printing practices that meet the
GOTS standard.
Q: Wash Instructions for Your Organic Baby Products
A: It is best to wash the organic burp cloths, snap baby bibs, and organic baby blankets in cold water to retain the brightness of the fabric, and
tumble-dry low. Treat as you would any brightly colored fabric – with extra love and care. For environmental reasons line we like to promote
line drying as a viable option for drying especially during the warm summer months.
Q: Why should I wear Organic cotton clothes?
A: Here is the ugly truth about conventionally grown cotton (non-organic):
Non-organic cotton is considered the world’s ‘dirtiest’ crop due to its heavy use of insecticides, the most hazardous pesticide to human and
animal health. Cotton covers 2.5% of the world’s cultivated land yet uses 16% of the world’s insecticides, more than any other single major
crop.
Insecticides used in the cotton farming include, aldicarb, parathion, and methamidopho, three of the most acutely dangerous insecticides to
human health as determined by the World Health organization, rank in the top ten most used in cotton production. Now, it is true that
insecticides have decreased in the past decade, only to introduce another lovely addition to the mix, Biotechnology (BT), the fastest yet most
controversial new technology in agricultural. Let’s not get into the specifics on this one, but know that this synthetic are also dangerous
currently the number one contributor to nitrogen oxide N2O emissions which are 300 times more potent than CO2 as greenhouse gas, which
is ominous for global warming as synthetic fertilizer use is forecasted to increase roughly 2.5 times by mid-century.
